Art Place Gallery is pleased to announce Judith Lambertson’s first solo exhibition at the gallery.
Lambertson will be exhibiting recent studio canvases as well as relatedsmaller plein air works painted in the medieval village of Guardia, Sanframondi.
In this new series of paintings the artist continues to explore light, color,compressed space and her personal language of meditative quiet.
Lambertson has been called a contemporary realist. The studio compositions though rooted in observation, are the synthesis of abstraction and representation.
Judith Lambertson’s work is included in the collections of The Cape Ann Museum, the Hudson Valley Hospital, and the Stamford Hospital.
Lambertson was awarded residencies at Terra Vivente, Guardia Sanframondi, Italy; Heliker-LaHotan, Cranberry Isles, Maine; International School of Painting, Drawing and Sculpture, Umbria, Italy; and the Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, Vermont.
