Art/Place is an artist-run gallery. It has been in existence for more than 35 years and features a new show by one or two members every month and several group shows a year.
Please join us for the reception on Sunday, September 10, 2017, from 2:00 - 5:00 PM for complimentary wine, soft drinks and snacks. Artists' talks at 3:30 PM.
Art Gerstein, who is a Norwalk digital photographer/artist and Reiki Master is showing his first show exclusively of his contemporary animal portraits, including a new medium for him, Backlit Polyester Film, that adds a new dimension of depth and allure as this type of presentation has rarely been used for fine art. To experience it, you have to see the pieces at the gallery, no special viewing glasses required.

Alice Katz is a Fairfield psychotherapist, teacher, author, and artist. Alice has been making art her entire life, using fabric, paper, paint, and found objects to create paintings, collages, papier mache sculptures, wall hangings, and photomontages. This show includes her work in a variety of wide variety of styles and mediums, all depicting people. She says, "I aim to create a pleasing and interesting composition with color, shapes, and texture. Good design is more important to me than the subject matter. All of my work is an interpretation of some image I see, often without color. The medium I choose for each is the one that I believe will best depict it."
