The public is invited to a reception at Art/Place Gallery for “Two Views”, the oil paintings of new members, Jeffrey Starkes and Elizabeth Higgins on January 15 from 2 to 5 pm.

Jeffrey says he is inspired by the art and artifacts of aboriginal cultures and of our earliest ancestors. "I endeavor to produce works that are as much about instinct as they are about intellect.”

Elizabeth (Betsy) says, “I think the subject matter whether it be a landscape, figure or still life simply provides a vehicle for my painting…a starting off point.
