The artist's works have been exhibited in museums, galleries and private and public collections throughout the United States. She’s had five solo shows at the University of Connecticut at Avery Point.
Mary Louise says that brilliant colors and powerful forms are central to her paintings and prints, and that ancient myths and legends also contribute to the formation of the work. "Though the works are abstract, they are firmly rooted in the natural world." The featured oil painting in this new exhibition is titled “Origins”, a large scale triptych measuring 50" x 120". The artist describes "Origins” as a magical landscape where the passage of time is seen evolving through each of the canvases."
