Grace Scharr McEnaney
Art and design in many different forms have always been a strong interest in Grace’s life. After working as a technical illustrator, and a graphic designer, she gradually began changing her focus towards illustrating for garden and travel magazines, which eventually led to fine art painting in watercolor.
In 2006, Grace participated in her first local juried group show at the Kent Art Association and since then has shown in numerous local and national juried exhibitions. She has won awards in watercolor from The New Britain Museum of American Art, The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and The Connecticut Watercolor Society. Grace is a juried artist member of Art/Place Gallery, a signature member of Connecticut Watercolor Society and in 2013 was juried into the prestigious Connecticut Women Artists.
“My paintings vary in subject matter and reflect, interpret and represent my world as I am busy living in it. While describing through light, form and texture, internal relationships emerge and engage through the glistening values of the watercolor medium. As a result, a painting unfolds, illuminating a memorable, personal life experience"
